In 2005, PS22 had its second American Idol contest. Here fifth grader Sierra sings a phenomenal version of "Hero" by Mariah Carey! Her performance was so incredible that it won her the title of American Idol in her category. (Fifth grade singers)
UPDATE: Last night on American Idol, Brooke White performed this acoustically on the piano. Sierra's is my favorite cover version though, even if I'm slightly biased! :)
