this movie somewhat resembles how the 2004 and current 2008 campaign have gone... one candidate (mccain) unfairly attacking the other (obama) based on his "character" and relationships with people and using cheapshots and low blows to do it. the similarity in this movie with 2004 is that people were buying the smears, but the differnce with 2008 is that majority of people do not give into the lies and smear attacks, and Obama is continuing to run an honorable campaign, and McCain is faltering.
