Both Native Americans and Blacks commit more crimes per capita in the US than whites, but they also have a considerably higher rate of poverty. Asian Indians and Asian immigrants to the US in general do not have anywhere commit considerably less violent crimes than the aforementioned groups in addition to considerably higher incomes. There is a clear link between poverty and crime. No black male goes out in to the street and says "Now I'm gonna go kill someone, cause it's the black thing to do."

He was saying that somebody's blackness makes them more likely to be criminals.

About high crime rates: how many of those black people do you think are in really poor neighbourhoods? Poor neighbourhoods are much more likely to contain people who deal in drugs more, because that's a main way to make good money, and steal more.

Also you ignore the fact that lots of those statistics are based on how many black people vs white people get CONVICTED, not just arrested. A majority of black and Hispanic prisoners were sentenced for violent offences, compared to about half of white prisoners. Blacks and Hispanics were more likely than whites to be sentenced for drug offences. Whites were more likely than blacks or Hispanics to be sentenced for property offences... So there is racial bias in the system, that's just a sad fact.
