make sure you use firefox
after that hold down option and click check for update and click the downloaded file and let it do its thing
Put this into your ipod via safari:
www.jailbreakme.com
go down to bottom and download appsnap once u do that it should crash and download
click installer(on ipod)an tap install and go down to tweaks 1.1.1 and tap oktoprep install that and after thats done click the home button and it should send you to the slider

after that u can than update it to 1.1.2
!!!*IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*!!!
During the jailbreak.jar part please quit iTunes whenever it opens as quickly as you can. It will open about 3 times during this part whenever it asks for your ipod touch to restart. If you don't close iTunes immediately after it is opened everytime, or it will set your iPod Touch in recovery mode and you'll have to do it all over agin.
after its done click the one with the coffee mug on it and click install ssh and click jailbreak and let it do its thing and you shoulde be done

How to restore your iPod Touch:
1) Connect the iPod Touch
2) Press and hold sleep+home until the device reboots.
3) Keep holding until that "please connect me to iTunes"-screen appears
4) iTunes says something about having detected a touch in recovery mode. Allow it to do its thing.
If you get the -18 error, proceed:
5) Disconnect the iPod Touch
6) Close iTunes
7) Reconnect the iPod Touch
8) iTunes launches and shows message as in step 4, but this time, the recovery will work
