Being a life-long fan of his father's (as in 28 years....) I tried to be incredibly objective seeing Liam live in Montreal (opening up for Eddie Vedder) and yet I was still absolutely gobsmacked by his talent. This is what the evolution of music is all about...we just have to be receptive to it in all its wonder.

I saw The Black Keys at Brixton Academy last wednesday and he was opening for them along with another band. The other band was crap, but Liam was amazing. As has been mentioned, he absolutely slaughtered the drumkit, it was mindblowing when he played it. He's a rilliant musician, showman and performer. he was really amazingly good and I too was worried that the Black keys wouldn't be able to follow such a good performance. I would've bought tickets if it was a shared gig between him and TBK
