"Dancing with Tears in my Eyes" was the only real breakthru here in the US cuz of various video shows..I lived in Bay Area, so i was exposed to more New Wave than most of the people in the US...Midge did better with "Dear God" and "If I Was" than the Ultravox stuff..and this country, for the most part, wouldnt know good music if it bit them on the leg..take Level 42 for another instance...:-)

ULTRA Ultravox! Remeber this when I was a teen cucumber; recording off the TV with a cassette player up to the TV speakers - yeh, Laugh Out Loud with today's technology. Ultravox were already at TODAY'S technology back then with their synths.... love the way Ure's voice retains a certain "grittiness" through the smooove-ness of the song.

I'm born 86, so I kinda missed all the great music from the early 80's, but I've catched up ;) I love ultravox and alot of other 80's bands. I'm attending the Ultravox, Return to Eden Reunion Tour. I was always sad that I'd never be able to see the bands I like live, but now i got the chance. So I'm happy :)
