Yea, I think the commentator was referring the lizard to have evolved later than most other species (maybe of its own kind). It could be true because, the "one bite kill" is a good evolutionary trait to have!

For one, if someone would be stupid enough to travel into Komodo moniter territroy, the nearest hospital would be miles away.Not only that but if a Komodo wanted to it could chase you. They run up to twenty kilometers per hour.

Unfortunatley, they're endangered and the only law enforced to protect them is it's illegal to hunt them. Should really enforce tougher laws, if not extract them from their current habitat and put them in a safer area for them to breed and hunt.
