Life in Tokyo: Vlog #47 Eating Raw Chicken and Pork
Uploaded by: tokyocooney
Video Description:
Went out for dinner and drinks with fellow youtube user DallasInTokyo to thank him for fish-watching while I was on vacation. There was a three style meat tataki platter which had chicken, pork and beef, all seared on the outside but still ice cold and raw on the inside. An interesting thing to try, but probably wont again anytime soon.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST trying this except in a restaurant that you trust deeply. As raw chicken and pork can be VERY dangerous. But when in Japan...
Also, a little footage from a comedy show that I performed at later that night.

Chicken is an issue, however, if not handled properly as it is particularly prone to salmonella and campylobacter. Pork isn't so bad in terms of food poisoning, however, parasites are a big problem with pork. =)
