I wonder if the cost of faking it would be any less than actually going.
Since they'd have to send rockets there for the astronomers, build a vast set in a vacuum, invent photographic tricks still not matched today etc.

That's not the problem, troll.. Recently, NASA scientists (who had nothing to do with faking Apollo) have admitted that they haven't yet invented the proper radiation shielding to keep humans safe on the Moon.

NASA admitting to why they faked the Apollo photography would be a nice start.
Considering the fact that NASA and their outsourced companies made over 8 billion dollars in profit on each "mission", I doubt it mattered to them that they couldn't really get to the Moon.
Since nobody ever tracked any of the Apollo craft, outside of NASA, why would they even need to send rockets to the Moon?.. The entire scam was completely controlled by NASA .. No independent companies had the technology to track a craft to the Moon, including the Russians.. As for the moonsets and trick photography, it was state of the art!
NASA sites are the best source for the hoax evidence.

Even today nobody has built a vacuum chamber large enough to perpetrate the hoax you're claiming.
The reflections off the 'wire' are lens flares from the pack antenna. LOL the reflection 'ping' is EXACTLY THE SAME each time (lens fare).

The Soviets couldn't even track their own missions to the Moon, much less NASA's. Jodrell Bank tracked all of the Luna missions by request of the Russians and never tracked Apollo because their 50 ft. dish wasn't able to.

The Kaguya photos are just altered Apollo photos.. It's just amazing how new technology can take old fake photos and almost make them look new again.. LOL
You ask why would the Japanese fake these "moon" photos?.. I don't know the answer to that question, but maybe you should ask the Chinese, who just faked their manned mission to low earth orbit.
Actually, that statement is very true and a documentary is coming out soon soon explaining exactly how NASA faked the Apollo TV footage and what type of technology was used.

No chamber was needed but NASA did build a huge vacuum chamber right before Apollo 11 launched for the "moon", so it's possible they filmed some of the footage there.
Sorry to burst your pro Apollo bubble but that Kaguya 'surface" photo is just a revamped Apollo 15 photo, sans the buggy tracks and whatever other Apollo trash was on the moonset surface, of course.
