ah now phill i love u and ur brilliant, but there's British English(or english english) and American english, but american ain't a language. for them to be different enought to be different languages. u wudn't call somone who cud speak both bilingual, and people able to speak one are more then able to speak the other, the only barrior ever is the accent. american english is more then different enough to be counted as a dialect, but not nearly different enough to constiture a language.
